FOUR STEPS TO BUILDING YOUR CAMPAIGN
Section One: Introduction
This is where we outline the fundamental parameters of the campaign. Think of it as a snapshot of the goals to be achieved, methods of how to we do our research, target audiences, objectives, strategies and tactics.
Section Two: Situation Analysis
The situation analysis is a complete outline of your business and plan as it currently stands. Here we will work through what your company’s mission, vision, values, history, funding and structure are.
We use the results from these findings to create the following:
Problem Statement
What are the main goals as they stand, and what are the challenges that must be faced in order to reach success?
Internal Factors
These are the factors that exist within your business. They include things such as your mission statement, your current vision and company structure.
External Factors
These are the factors that exist outside of your business. This could be industry fluctuations, consumer trends, or competitor actions.
Relevant Publics
Here is where we break down every aspect of the “who” as it relates to your campaign. We will cover demographics (who, what, when, where) as well as psychographics (habits, hobbies, spending, values) here.
S.W.O.T. Analysis
S.W.O.T. - Short for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. This analysis is a powerful tool to help pinpoint exactly where you are positioned in your market in order for your campaign to succeed.
Section Three: Research
Research Plan
This section outlines what methods we will use to gather our information based on what is most relevant to your industry.
Together, we determine what questions need to be asked, our research objectives and techniques.
Will we conduct a focus group? Distribute surveys and questionnaires? Gather feedback from previous customers? Will we canvas target communities to see what types of services are being offered or desired?
It’s all customized based on your business and your campaign plan.
Research Findings
A detailed breakdown of the data gathered from the previously determined research methods. Numbers, quotes and transcripts will help guide you to your goals with as much accuracy as possible.
Section Four: Campaign Plan
The Campaign Plan is where we develop all of the materials needed to move your company in the desired direction based on previously conducted analyses and research. This is where we develop things like social media strategy, community outreach programs, media relations tactics and any other opportunity to get you to your potential customers.
Goals
What does your campaign achieve within a specific timeline? These often get broken into different objectives to be met throughout the course of a campaign.
Strategies
What are the larger pieces in play? Are you trying to increase brand awareness on social media? Do you want to create more robust partnerships with relevant organizations? These are all examples of strategies that will tie your campaign into your day-to-day practices.
Tactics
These are the deliverables that your audience has direct contact with. They include, but aren’t limited to social media content, photos, videos, press releases and promotions.
Budget Overview and Timeline
A detailed description of how much money is going where to fund your campaign. We then develop a timeline which breaks down what parts of your campaign are launching at a given time. It also assists in making sure that previously established goals are met.
